Maharashtra Day Celebrated at Nagpur City Police Commissionerate; 45 Officers Honoured

Nagpur: The 67th Maharashtra Day was celebrated with enthusiasm under the Nagpur City Police Commissionerate on Friday.


The official ceremony was held at 7 am at the Police Bhavan, Civil Lines, Nagpur, in the presence of Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr Ravinder Kumar Singal as the chief guest.


During the programme, the Police Commissioner unfurled the national flag. Marking the occasion of Maharashtra Day, Director General of Police Honour Insignias were also distributed.


A total of 45 police officers and personnel from the Nagpur City Police Force and Nagpur Rural Police Force were honoured by the Police Commissioner with commemorative insignias and appreciation certificates for their distinguished service.


Addressing the gathering, Dr Singal extended greetings on Maharashtra Day to all those present. He congratulated the medal recipients and guided the police force on its future responsibilities and commitment towards public service.


Senior officials present at the event included Joint Commissioner of Police Navinchandra Reddy, Additional Commissioners of Police Vasant Pardeshi, Shivajirao Rathod and Rajendra Dabhade, Deputy Commissioners of Police from Zones 1 to 6, Assistant Commissioners of Police, Senior Police Inspectors, other officers, personnel and invited dignitaries in large numbers.


The celebration reflected the spirit of Maharashtra Day while recognising the dedication and service of police personnel in Nagpur.
