Nagpur: Congress candidate Abhishek Dhawad, contesting from Prabhag 16, has intensified his outreach campaign by appealing to voters to support the Congress party for change and development at the local level. Addressing residents during interactions with Nagpur News, Dhawad highlighted his work as a grassroots Congress worker and outlined his vision for the future of the constituency.
Dhawad spoke about the various initiatives and public service efforts he has undertaken in his neighbourhood over the years, stressing his close connect with local issues and residents. He said his experience at the grassroots level has helped him understand civic problems related to infrastructure, basic amenities, and public welfare.
The Congress candidate also referred to the political legacy of his father, Ashok Dhawad, a veteran Congress leader, stating that his father’s long-standing image and credibility in public life would strengthen his campaign and reinforce the trust of voters in Prabhag 16.
Targeting the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Abhishek Dhawad explained why voters should choose Congress over BJP in the upcoming civic elections. He alleged that several local issues remain unresolved and claimed that the Congress party offers a more inclusive and people-centric approach to governance.
Outlining his roadmap for the future, Dhawad presented a blueprint for development in Prabhag 16, focusing on improving civic infrastructure, strengthening basic services, and ensuring transparent and accountable administration if elected.
Appealing directly to voters, Dhawad urged residents to “vote for change and vote for Congress,” asserting that the party is committed to addressing local concerns and delivering sustainable development in Nagpur’s municipal wards.
