Nagpur: A 42-year-old labourer lost his life in a tragic accident at Kharbi Chowk under Nandanvan Police Station limits, after being hit by a reversing truck on October 15 around 3.30 pm.

The deceased, Barsan Sirmor (42), a resident of Dharam Nagar, Bharatwada Road, Kalamna, was working as a loader near Lalit Paunikar’s grain godown when the driver of a truck (MH 04 KF 1267) allegedly reversed the vehicle in a negligent and rash manner, hitting him severely. He was rushed to Orbit Hospital, Sakkardara, where doctors declared him dead during treatment.

Following a complaint lodged by his daughter Nilima Barsan Sirmor (18), police registered a case under Sections 106(1), 281, and 134 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the truck driver.
