Nagpur: The Wadi Police arrested a 23-year-old youth who was found in violation of an externment order and allegedly planning to commit a crime within police limits.

The accused, identified as Shubham alias Dhundari Ganesh Sawde, a resident of Ramji Ambedkar Nagar, 8th Mile, was caught near a house in Chaudhari Lane around 9:25 PM on July 16, during routine patrolling by Wadi police.

On verifying his records, police discovered that Sawde had been externed from Nagpur city and rural limits for two years under Order No. 03/2024 issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 1, on November 12, 2024. Despite the ban, he was found roaming in the area without permission and with suspected criminal intent.

A case under Section 142 of the Maharashtra Police Act was registered against him at Wadi Police Station, and he was taken into custody. Further investigations are underway.
