Nagpur: Technical Glitch Disrupts Orange Line Metro Services Near Rahate Colony; Passengers Stranded

Nagpur: A technical glitch on the Orange Line of Nagpur Metro caused major disruption in services on Friday May 2, morning, leaving several commuters stranded and delayed during peak hours.


The incident occurred near Rahate Colony Metro Station when a wire reportedly burned, halting one of the metro rakes at Sitabuldi station for approximately 45 to 50 minutes. As a result, services between Khapri and Sitabuldi stations were significantly affected.


Dozens of passengers were left stranded on platforms and inside halted coaches as the technical team worked to resolve the issue. Many commuters experienced delays in reaching their destinations, leading to inconvenience during the crucial morning rush hour.


In an official statement, Nagpur Metro authorities expressed regret over the disruption and apologised for the inconvenience caused to passengers. Efforts are underway to ensure such technical faults are addressed promptly in the future.
