Nagpur: Passengers travelling between Nagpur and Pune will face disruptions this weekend as Central Railway has cancelled two key express train services owing to a major engineering and signalling block at Pune Yard.
According to Central Railway, Pune Division will undertake critical infrastructure work involving the replacement of DDS Point No. 208/209 in the existing track layout at Pune Yard on the Pune–Daund section. To facilitate the work, a nine-hour traffic and power block will be imposed from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
As a result of the block, train operations from the CSMT end on Platforms 3 and 4 at Pune railway station will remain affected, leading to the cancellation of select train services.
Nagpur–Pune and Pune–Nagpur Express Cancelled
Central Railway has announced the cancellation of the following trains:
- Train No. 12136 Nagpur–Pune Express, scheduled to commence its journey on June 13, 2026, will remain cancelled.
- Train No. 12135 Pune–Nagpur Express, scheduled to commence its journey on June 14, 2026, will also remain cancelled.
Engineering Block to Enhance Railway Safety
Railway officials stated that the engineering and signalling work is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen railway infrastructure and improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of train operations in the Pune Yard area.
The replacement of critical track components is expected to enhance operational performance and support smoother train movements in the future.

Central Railway has advised passengers to verify the latest status of their trains before commencing their journey to avoid inconvenience. Travelers are encouraged to use official railway enquiry platforms for real-time updates regarding train operations.
