Nagpur: Juvenile Robs Godown of Cash, Chocolates; Comes Back for More—This Time, Gets Caught

Nagpur: A theft case was solved by Sonegaon Police after a juvenile was caught attempting another burglary at the same location.


According to police, Ravish Vasudev Dhanwani (40), a resident of Meher Colony, Sonegaon, had stored Amul products in a godown near his house at Plot No. 36. On March 6, around 1 PM, an unidentified boy entered the godown by cutting through the wire fencing at the back and stole ₹5,000 in cash, silver coins, and chocolates worth ₹1,000 from a drawer.


Upon reviewing CCTV footage, Dhanwani spotted the suspect. On March 19, the same boy returned to commit another theft, but this time, he was caught red-handed. The complainant immediately informed the police.


Based on the complaint, Sonegaon Police registered an FIR under Section 305(A) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). During questioning, the juvenile confessed to the crime. Following legal procedures, he was handed over to his parents. Further investigation is underway.
