Nagpur: National Academy of Defence Production (NADP) proudly commemorated its achievements with the release of a Special First Day Cover during Nagpurpex 2024, a distinguished district-level philately exhibition organized by the Postal Department here, on Saturday, November 30.
This momentous event was graced by Shobha Krishanarao Madhale, Post Master General of the Nagpur Region, alongside esteemed guests including Dr. J P Dash, CGM of NADP, Abhijeet Bansod, Director of Posts, Kishore Chandak, a noted numismatist and philatelist, and Kapil Gogri, Secretary of the Philatelic Congress of India.
Nagpurpex 2024, taking place on November 29 and 30 at Rajhans Hall in the GPO building, showcases an impressive array of stamps and postal history. The exhibition was inaugurated at 11:00 AM by Shobha Madhale, who highlighted the Postal Department's enduring mission to connect people across India.
Dr. J P Dash emphasized the cultural significance of philately, describing it as a journey through history that inspires pride in India's heritage. He shared captivating stories about the Indian postal system and recent innovations in stamp technology that enhance their appeal and security.
