Nagpur: The Nagpur Crime Branch’s Anti-Chain Snatching Squad has arrested a 23-year-old man for his involvement in a robbery case reported in the Pratap Nagar area.
The incident occurred on March 1, when the victim’s elderly mother had withdrawn ₹10,000 from an ATM and was returning home. Two unidentified men on a motorcycle allegedly snatched a red bag containing cash and a mobile phone from her hands and fled the spot.
Following a complaint filed by Anurag Dahare (33), Pratap Nagar Police registered a case and began investigation.
Using technical surveillance and intelligence inputs, police arrested Akash Raja Badlani (23), a resident of Ambazari Layout. During interrogation, he confessed to committing the robbery along with a minor accomplice.
Police also seized the Suzuki Burgman scooter used in the crime, valued at ₹60,000. Further investigation is underway.
