Nagpur: A burglary incident has been reported in Ajni area of Nagpur, where unidentified thieves broke into a locked house and decamped with cash and valuables worth ₹2.3 lakh.

The complainant, Nandini Amit Bhongade (32), a resident of Chandramani Nagar on Rameshwari Road, had locked her house and gone with her family to attend a musical function at Nari Road, Koradi.

Taking advantage of the absence, the accused broke open the main door lock and entered the house. The thieves stole ₹5,000 in cash, gold and silver jewellery, and a Titan wristwatch from an iron cupboard in the bedroom.

Based on the complaint, Ajni Police have registered a case against unknown accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being made to trace the accused.
