Nagpur: Amid rising concerns over fuel availability, Nagpur District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar on Tuesday, March 24, assured citizens that there is an ample stock of petrol, diesel, and LPG in the district, and strict monitoring is being carried out by the administration.

Appealing to the public, Dr. Itankar urged citizens not to believe in rumours and to purchase only as much fuel as required. He emphasized that there is no panic situation in the district and residents should not indulge in unnecessary hoarding.

The Collector further stated that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Revenue Minister and Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule are continuously reviewing the situation at the highest level to ensure uninterrupted supply of essential fuels.

“Citizens should remove any fear from their minds. There is no shortage or panic situation in the district,” Dr. Itankar clarified.

He added that both the Central and State governments have already issued clear communication regarding the availability of petrol, diesel, LPG, and other energy resources. To effectively manage the situation, the state government has also issued a Government Resolution to regulate essential supplies.

In line with this, a district-level committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the District Collector to monitor the situation regularly.

Dr. Itankar also warned that strict action will be taken, with police assistance, against individuals spreading false rumours or attempting to disrupt essential services.
