Nagpur: Ajni Police arrested a drug peddler during a patrol operation on Tuesday night.

According to police sources, acting on a tip-off around 9:03 PM, police laid a trap near Avinash Ground, opposite the RPF canteen. They intercepted a white Maruti Brezza (MH-14 HK 5307) and detained the driver.

The accused, identified as Sheikh Wasim Sheikh Habib (36), was found in possession of 4 grams of MD powder concealed in a zip-lock pouch. Police seized narcotics, a mobile phone, and the vehicle—totaling ₹5,58,000 in value.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway.
