Nagpur: A 24-year-old man died after suffering an electric shock while carrying out electrical work at an office premises on Wardha Road in Nagpur.
According to Sonegaon Police, the incident took place at around 8 p.m. on June 22 at a newly constructed office belonging to Bhumesh Peshne, located above a Kia car showroom on Wardha Road.
The deceased has been identified as Vikas Jageshwar Chavan (24). Police said Chavan was drilling a hole in an electrical board using a drilling machine when he suddenly received an electric shock and lost consciousness.
He was immediately rushed to Orange City Hospital and later shifted to the Government Medical Hospital for further treatment. However, doctors declared him dead during treatment at approximately 9:05 p.m.
Based on the statement of the deceased's father, Jageshwar Chavan (55), a resident of Navkanya Nagar, Bharatwada Road, Kalamna, Sonegaon Police have registered an accidental death report (ADR).
