Nagpur: In a major breakthrough, the Koradi Police Station police have detained three accused and one juvenile in connection with a brutal murder case reported in the Koradi area of Nagpur.
According to police officials, the incident occurred around 1:30 AM on May 20, 2026, near Bharat Furniture on the Nagpur-Koradi Service Road in Koradi. The deceased has been identified as Shubham Rajesh Besare (28), a resident of Shivkrushnadhham, Sector 15, Koradi, Nagpur.
Shubham was returning home with his friend Atul Balram Evanate (25) when they were allegedly attacked by a group of assailants following an earlier argument at a paan stall.
Accused Allegedly Attacked Victims With Stones, Sharp Weapons, and Wooden Sticks
Police stated that the accused, identified as:
- Harshal Tejaram Nare (24)
- Mayank Munna Manpe (21)
- Venkatesh Vikam Badel (22)
- Tejas alias Kola Pramod Zodape (22)
- Prince alias Trushit Sanjay Chavare (20)
- Mohit Dhiraj Ramteke (22)
- Piyush Atul Dongre (20)
along with a juvenile accomplice, allegedly conspired to kill the victims.
Investigators said the attackers assaulted Shubham and Atul using stones, sharp knife-like weapons, and wooden sticks, causing severe injuries.
Both injured men were rushed to Mayo Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared Shubham dead. Atul is currently undergoing treatment.
Murder Case Registered Under Multiple Sections
Based on a complaint filed by Sagar Rajesh Besare (31), Koradi Police registered a case under Sections 103, 109, 191(3), and 190 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 4 and 25 of the Arms Act.
Police acted swiftly and detained accused numbers 1 to 3 along with the juvenile suspect. Search operations are underway to trace the remaining accused, and further investigation is in progress.
