Nagpur: A 30-year-old labourer from Madhya Pradesh died in a tragic accident after suffering severe burn injuries during a boring operation behind D-Mart in Mahajanwadi, located in MIDC police jurisdiction.
The deceased has been identified as Kunwar (Golu) Dhanu Dhurve, a resident of Ward No. 2, Jagla, Balaghat (M.P.).
On June 6, while conducting boring work, he attempted to expand a pipe by setting it on fire using diesel. However, the fire flared up uncontrollably, resulting in severe burns.
He was immediately rushed to Shalinitai Meghe Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment around 6 am on June 15. Following the statement by his wife Mamta Kunwar (29), MIDC Police have registered an accidental death report (ADR) under the supervision of PSI Gawli. Further inquiry into the incident is underway.
