Nagpur: An unidentified elderly man was found unconscious near Poddareshwar Temple Road, close to Sheetla Mata Temple, under the jurisdiction of Ganeshpeth Police Station on March 20 at around 8.15 am.

The deceased, estimated to be around 65 years old, was described as fair-complexioned with a medium build and approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall. He had white hair with partial baldness and a grown white beard and moustache, and was wearing black full-length trousers.

Police shifted him to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital, popularly known as Mayo Hospital, where doctors declared him dead after examination.

Ganeshpeth police have registered a case of accidental death and initiated further investigation. Authorities have appealed to citizens who may recognise the deceased to contact the police station.
