Nagpur: The district administration has clarified that petrol, diesel, CNG and LPG supplies in Nagpur district remain stable, dismissing rumours of any shortage. Authorities have appealed to residents to refrain from panic buying and avoid unnecessary rush at fuel stations.
District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar stated that a review of the fuel supply situation has confirmed adequate stock availability across the district. Oil marketing companies operating in Nagpur have assured uninterrupted and smooth distribution.
According to officials, Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum, and Indian Oil Corporation have maintained sufficient reserves of petrol, diesel, CNG and LPG cylinders within the district limits. The administration, in coordination with the police department and oil firms, is closely monitoring the situation to ensure continued supply.
Meanwhile, domestic LPG cylinder prices (14.2 kg) were revised earlier this month, with an increase of ₹60, taking the new rate to ₹964.50 per cylinder. Commercial LPG cylinders now cost ₹1,935. The refill eligibility period for domestic cylinders has also been extended from 15 days to 25 days.
Reiterating that there is no cause for concern, Dr Itankar urged citizens not to believe unverified information and to maintain normal purchasing patterns, assuring that fuel availability in the district is adequate and stable.
