Nagpur is set to host the prestigious 69th All India Police Duty Meet (AIPDM) 2025–26, a national-level competition aimed at enhancing professional excellence within the Indian police forces. The event will be conducted in the city from March 29 to April 3, 2026, marking a significant moment for Maharashtra Police as the state hosts the annual meet this year.
The previous, 68th edition of the All India Police Duty Meet was organised in Ranchi, Jharkhand during 2024–25. For the 2025–26 edition, Maharashtra has been selected as host state, with Nagpur chosen as the venue.
Grand Inauguration at Shivaji Stadium
The opening ceremony will be held on March 29, 2026, at 5 pm at Shivaji Stadium, Police Headquarters, Nagpur. The event will be inaugurated by Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, in the presence of senior police officials from across the country.
Aim: Professional Excellence and Technological Advancement
The All India Police Duty Meet is organised to sharpen investigative skills, promote healthy competition, introduce modern investigative techniques, encourage the exchange of advanced technologies, and strengthen coordination among police forces nationwide. The event serves as a platform to enhance the overall quality, efficiency, and modernization of policing in India.
Six Key Competitive Events Across Nagpur
The competition will feature events in six major disciplines:
- Computer Awareness
- Police Dog Competition
- Police Videography
- Anti-Sabotage Check
- Scientific Aid to Investigation
- Police Photography
These events will include both written examinations and practical demonstrations.
Competitions will be conducted at multiple venues across Nagpur:
- Computer Awareness at Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Gittikhadan
- Police Dog Competition at State Reserve Police Force Group No. 4
- Police Videography, Anti-Sabotage Check, Scientific Aid to Investigation and Police Photography at Police Training Centre Bajaj Nagar
Massive Participation from Across India
A total of 29 teams representing various states, Union Territories, and central police organisations will participate in the meet. Altogether, 1,327 police officers and personnel, along with 144 police dogs, will compete in different categories.
Comprehensive arrangements have been made for accommodation and meals at prominent locations across Nagpur. Cultural programmes will be organised for participants’ engagement, and medical facilities will be available at all venues. A special cultural evening and traditional “Bada Khana” has been scheduled on April 2, 2026, at the Police Training Centre in Nagpur for senior officers and participants.
Extensive Logistics and Security Arrangements
To ensure smooth transportation of participants, 330 police vehicles with drivers have been deployed from various districts of Maharashtra. A robust security bandobast has also been put in place across competition venues.
Multiple committees under the supervision of senior officers have been formed for effective planning and execution of the event. Evaluation of competitions will be conducted in a fair and professional manner by subject experts and experienced judges invited from different states.
Organising Committee Led by Senior Officials
The organising committee is headed by Sadanand Date, Director General of Police, Maharashtra, as Chairman. Sunil Ramanand serves as Organising Secretary.
Other key members include Madhukar Pandey, Dr Ravinder Kumar Singal, Rajkumar Vatkar, Deepak Pandey, Dr Rajendra Dahale, Sandeep Patil, Abhishek Trimukhe, Sudhir Hiremath, Navinchandra Reddy and Nisar Tamboli, among other senior officers.
Closing Ceremony on April 3
The closing ceremony will be held on April 3, 2026, at 5 pm at Shivaji Stadium, Police Headquarters, Nagpur, in the presence of Nityanand Rai, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India.
General Championship trophies, along with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, will be awarded to the best-performing teams and participants during the valedictory function.
