Nagpur: A 65-year-old man sustained fatal injuries after accidentally falling from the fourth-floor terrace of his apartment while checking the water tank sensor in the Pratapnagar area of Nagpur on April 30, Tuesday.
According to police, the deceased, Satish Ramchandra Deshmukh, a resident of Vikta Apartment, F-1, Sujata Layout, Dindayal Nagar, was climbing a ladder on his terrace around 5 PM to take measurements of the water tank sensor. While ascending the iron ladder, he reportedly lost balance and fell from a height of about 7 feet, resulting in severe injuries.
He was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (Medical), where doctors declared him dead during treatment. Based on a complaint filed by his brother Pravin Ramchandra Deshmukh (58), a resident of Swavalambi Nagar, NIT Layout, Pratapnagar Police registered a case of accidental death.
