Nagpur: A teacher at Qidwai High School & Junior College was allegedly assaulted with a steel scale inside the campus, leaving him seriously injured. The victim, Sagir Ahmed, has accused principal Majeeb Pathan and one Mutajim Khan of attacking him. A complaint has been registered at Pachpaoli Police Station.

Initially reported as a knife attack, police clarified that a steel scale was used. Ahmed was rushed to the trauma care unit of Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment. Later he was discharged following medical care.

The assault is suspected to be linked to an administrative dispute. Ahmed alleged he was pressured to pay ₹30,000 monthly to the principal and had stopped payments after scrutiny was ordered into minority-status schools. He claimed the attack was in retaliation. Police have launched an investigation and further action is awaited.
