Nagpur: A snake was reportedly spotted inside the toilet of a moving train traveling between Visakhapatnam and Mumbai on Tuesday, February 24, evening. The passenger who saw the snake immediately informed the railway authorities, triggering a coordinated search operation by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Wildlife Welfare Society.
According to the information received, the incident occurred on February 24, 2026, when a passenger on a Mumbai-bound train from Visakhapatnam noticed a snake in the coach toilet. As the train was approaching Nagpur, the alert was forwarded to the RPF Nagpur unit, which then contacted members of the Wildlife Welfare Society.
Responding swiftly, the Society’s team reached Platform No. 6 at Nagpur Railway Station. The train arrived at the station around 1:20 minutes later, and the rescue team immediately inspected the toilet area of the coach where the snake had allegedly been seen.
However, despite a thorough search, no snake was found inside the coach or toilet at the time of inspection.
Authorities confirmed that the situation was handled jointly by the Wildlife Welfare Society and the RPF, ensuring the safety of passengers and restoring normal operations quickly.
