Nagpur: The Nagpur City Police have successfully launched its ‘Summer to Learn’ Camp for children, witnessing an overwhelming and enthusiastic response from participants across the city on its opening day.
The initiative has been introduced with the objective of fostering trust, confidence, and meaningful engagement between the police force and the younger generation. The programme seeks to bridge the gap between citizens and law enforcement by creating a friendly and interactive platform for children.
As part of the camp, participants are being given a unique opportunity to understand the functioning, responsibilities, and values of the police. The activities include interactive sessions with professionals, safety awareness programmes, live demonstrations, arts and crafts, and recreational exercises—ensuring a balanced blend of learning and enjoyment.
The camp also places a strong emphasis on physical fitness, discipline, and promoting a healthy lifestyle among children, which are considered essential traits for personal development and responsible citizenship.
Addressing the participants, Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal, Commissioner of Police, Nagpur City, highlighted the importance of early engagement with young minds.
He stated that such initiatives help in removing fear and building confidence among children through direct interaction with police personnel. He also encouraged children to prioritise physical fitness, spend time outdoors, and actively participate in sports to build both mental and physical strength.
The strong turnout on the first day reflects a positive response from the community and growing interest in such constructive initiatives. Nagpur City Police reiterated its commitment to nurturing aware, confident, and responsible youth, contributing towards building a safer and more connected society.
