Nagpur: A burglary case has been reported under Beltarodi Police Station Nagpur, where unidentified thieves decamped with gold and diamond jewellery worth ₹4.7 lakh from a locked residence.
The incident took place between the morning of May 2 and May 3 at a house located in Shilpa Society near Shani Dham Temple. The complainant, Pradeep Tukaram Avchat (63), had locked his house and left for Wardha with his family to visit an ailing relative, leaving the house keys with his employee.
During this period, unknown miscreants allegedly broke open the main door lock using a duplicate key, entered the premises, and stole valuables kept in a bedroom locker, including gold and diamond-studded ornaments.
Based on the complaint, police have registered a case against unknown anccused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. A search operation has been launched, and further investigation is in progress.
