Nagpur: The Pachpaoli Police have registered a case against a woman for allegedly abetting her husband’s suicide following prolonged domestic disputes.

The deceased, Mohit Jitendra alias Chandrabose Desai (35), had married the accused, Pooja Mohit Desai (30), in a court marriage. According to the complaint filed by the victim’s mother, Nilima Desai, the couple frequently argued over domestic issues.

Police stated that the accused repeatedly left her husband’s home after disputes and allegedly threatened separation. Despite attempts by the husband to reconcile, including emotional appeals and messages, the accused reportedly blocked all communication and distanced herself.

Due to continuous mental stress and harassment, the victim allegedly died by suicide on February 12, 2026, at his residence.

Initially registered as an accidental death, further inquiry led to the filing of a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Investigation is ongoing.
