Nagpur: In a tragic incident reported from Hingna on May 4, Sunday, a 37-year-old man was electrocuted while fishing near a stream close to a brick kiln in Dhamna village. The deceased has been identified as Indrakumar Jaysing Parte, a resident of Sachin Herode’s brick kiln premises, Nagpur.
According to police sources, the incident occurred around 1:30 PM when Indrakumar had gone fishing near the nala (stream) beside the brick kiln. During the activity, he came in contact with an electric current and fell unconscious on the spot. He was immediately rushed to the Government Hospital in Hingna for medical assistance. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Based on a complaint filed by village officer Sukhcharan Parte (40), resident of Lurasa village, Post Mehariya, District Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, Hingna Police registered a case of accidental death.
Further investigation into the incident is ongoing to determine the exact cause and source of the electric current.
