Administrative Approval Issued Following Planning Committee’s Sanction Led by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Nagpur: The proposed Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Community Hall in the Ambazari area of Nagpur has received administrative approval following the sanction granted in a Planning Committee meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis here on Saturday.

The Public Works Department will carry out the construction after obtaining a no-objection certificate from the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation. The Ambedkarite community had long demanded the construction of this community hall in the area. The previous Ambedkar Hall was demolished during redevelopment, which had caused significant unrest and led to protests. As a result, the project was put on hold.

In response to the community’s demands and concerns, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed the Planning Committee to proceed with the project. Accordingly, an administrative approval order was issued yesterday, and the government will now move forward with the construction.
