Nagpur: A burglary was reported under the jurisdiction of Kalamna Police Station after unidentified thieves broke into a welding workshop and stole machinery and equipment worth ₹1.28 lakh.

According to police, complainant Ashish Tukaram Sadarang (41), a resident of Ramsumer Baba Nagar in Shantinagar, owns a welding workshop named Dadaji Fabrication and Engineering Works on Old Kamptee Road. Between 7 pm on May 28 and 7.30 am on May 29, unknown miscreants allegedly pried open the shop shutter and gained entry into the premises.

The accused allegedly decamped with a lathe machine, welding machine, motor pump and other welding-related equipment collectively valued at ₹1.28 lakh.

Based on the complaint, Kalamna Police have registered a case against unknown persons under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police Sub-Inspector Dnyaneshwar More is investigating the case and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the culprits.
