Burglars Break Into Locked House in Wathoda, Escape With Cash and Jewellery

Nagpur: Wathoda Police have registered a burglary case after unidentified thieves allegedly broke into a locked residence and stole cash and gold-silver jewellery worth ₹1.12 lakh.


According to police, the incident occurred between 3 pm on June 15 and 10 am on June 17 at Plot No. 95, Sharda Nagar, Verma House, Wathoda.


Complainant Sachin Jivan Bodi (33) had locked his house and travelled with his family to his native village Narsingi in Katol taluka of Nagpur district. Upon returning, he found that unknown persons had allegedly broken the main door lock and latch and entered the house.


Police said the accused stole ₹12,000 in cash and multiple gold and silver ornaments kept inside an iron cupboard in the bedroom.


Based on the complaint, Wathoda Police Station has registered a case against unknown accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 305(A), 331(3), and 331(4).


Police are examining evidence and searching for the accused. Further investigation is underway.
