Nagpur: Ajni police have registered a case against a 21-year-old man for allegedly repeatedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl after the two became friends on Instagram. The minor was reportedly found to be around 15 weeks pregnant during a medical examination after she complained of missing her menstrual periods.
According to the police complaint, the girl and the accused, identified in the available report as a resident of the Ajni area, became acquainted through Instagram and subsequently developed a friendship. They reportedly continued communicating over the phone.
Police said the accused allegedly took the girl to a location mentioned in the complaint and repeatedly established physical relations with her against her wishes. He allegedly warned her not to disclose the incidents to anyone.
After the girl did not get her menstrual periods following June 2026, she informed her mother. Her mother subsequently took her to gynaecologist in the Wanjari Nagar area under Ajni police station limits.
