Nagpur: An unidentified middle-aged man was found unconscious under a neem tree near a closed toll plaza on the Nagpur-Wardha road within the jurisdiction of Hingna Police Station.

Police said the incident came to light before 12.20 pm on May 7, 2026, near Dongargaon in the Hingna area of Nagpur.

The deceased, believed to be around 45 years old, was described as dark-complexioned, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, and of slim build. He was wearing a dirty white full-sleeve shirt, black full pants, and blue underwear.

After being found unconscious in the open area near the roadside, the man was rushed to AIIMS Hospital for treatment. However, doctors examined him and declared him dead.

Police said the identity of the deceased has not yet been established. Hingna Police have appealed to citizens who may recognize the man to contact the police station and assist in identification. Further inquiry into the cause of death is underway.
