Rs 7.5 Lakh Electrical Wire Theft at Nagpur Construction Warehouse; Beltarodi Police Register Burglary Case

Nagpur: Beltarodi Police Station has registered a burglary case after unidentified thieves allegedly stole electrical wire bundles worth Rs 7.5 lakh from a construction company warehouse in the city.


Complainant Ashitoshkumar Narendrasing Bahadursing (34), a resident of Sindhi Colony near Shubham Kirana Stores in Khamla, runs a construction business under the name Devprat Construction. The company’s office and warehouse are located at Mangalmurti Residency, A-Wing, Shop No. 3, ground floor, Parsodi, within Beltarodi police limits.


According to the complaint, the businessman had stored 139 bundles of electrical wires of various specifications required for construction work inside a locked room in the warehouse.


Police said that between 6 pm on May 6 and 7 am on May 7, unidentified burglars allegedly broke open the iron shutter lock of the storage room and stole the electrical wire bundles valued at Rs 7.5 lakh.


Following the complaint, PSI Pankaj Kakde of Beltarodi Police Station registered a case against unknown accused under Section 334(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Police have launched a search operation to trace the culprits while further investigation is underway.
