Nagpur: In a unique opportunity to experience the valorous legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a special tourist train—“Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Circuit Train”—will depart from Mumbai on June 9 as part of the Bharat Gaurav Yatra, a collaborative initiative by the Ministry of Railways and the Government of Maharashtra.

This special five-day tour aims to offer travelers an immersive journey through forts, temples, and key historical sites tied to Shivaji Maharaj’s life and Maratha history. The meticulously curated route includes stops at Raigad, Pune, Shivneri, Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga, Pratapgad, Kolhapur, Panhala, and returns to Mumbai.

Tour Itinerary Highlights:

• June 9:

Departure at 6:30 AM from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai. Passengers may also board at Dadar and Thane.

• 10:30 AM: Breakfast at Mangaon Railway Station, followed by a bus journey to Raigad Fort with lunch and sightseeing.
• Evening return to Mangaon and train journey towards Pune with dinner en route.
• Arrival in Pune at 10 PM, followed by hotel accommodation.

June 10:

• Morning visit to Lal Mahal and Kasba Ganpati Temple, followed by lunch and a tour of Shivsrushti. Overnight stay in Pune.

June 11:

• Departure to Shivneri Fort, the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, followed by a visit to the Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga Temple. Meals and overnight halt in Pune.

• June 12:

• 7 AM: Train departs Pune for Satara. Breakfast served on board.
• From Satara, tourists will visit Pratapgad Fort, have lunch, and return by evening.

• Early morning arrival in Kolhapur. After breakfast, visit the revered Mahalakshmi Temple followed by lunch.
