Nagpur: The Mankapur Police have registered a case against a motorcyclist for rash and negligent driving that led to a serious accident near Max Hospital flyover.
The complainant, Shubham Raju Bagde (28), a resident of Krishna Vihar on Godhani Road, was returning home on his Activa scooter (RJ-34-SG-8640) at around 2:30 am on March 31, 2026.
According to the complaint, while he was crossing the flyover near Max Hospital under Mankapur Police jurisdiction, a Yamaha motorcycle (MH-31-GB-5791) coming from the wrong side at high speed collided head-on with his scooter.
The accident caused serious injuries to Bagde, who was immediately admitted to Chandak Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Based on his statement, Mankapur Police have registered a case against the accused rider under Sections 281 and 125(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for rash and negligent driving.
Further investigation is ongoing.
