Nagpur: In a road safety initiative, Nagpur Police led by Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal distributed helmets at Variety Square and 19 other key junctions on February 22, Saturday. The event witnessed active participation from citizens, who also took a pledge to adhere to traffic rules and prioritize road safety. Around 1,000 helmets were distributed on this occasion.

Senior officials, including the Joint Commissioner of Police Nisar Tamboli, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Archit Chandak and other police personnel, were present during the distribution. The initiative aimed to promote awareness about helmet usage and encourage responsible riding practices among motorists in Nagpur.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Singal emphasized the importance of wearing helmets to prevent fatal accidents and urged citizens to follow traffic norms diligently. He reiterated that strict enforcement measures would continue to ensure compliance, making roads safer for everyone.
