Nagpur: A 15-year-old boy has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for allegedly stalking an 11-year-old girl and later threatening to rape her after he was removed from a private coaching class in Nagpur.

According to MIDC Police, the victim, an 11-year-old girl studying in Class VI, was allegedly being stalked by the juvenile while she was on her way to school and to a private coaching class, where they both studied. Owing to his repeated behaviour, the coaching class management allegedly removed him from the institute.

Police said the juvenile allegedly held a grudge over his removal. On July 23, he allegedly went outside the girl’s house and abused her before threatening her mother of raping the minor.

Following which, the victim’s mother approached MIDC police. An offence has been registered under POCSO Act against the teenager. Further investigations are on.
