Nagpur: Ajni Police have arrested a 33-year-old man for allegedly roaming with a deadly weapon and creating panic in the Kaushalyanagar area.
The incident took place around 6:45 pm on April 12, 2026, when a police patrol team received information about a man brandishing a weapon near a ground adjacent to Thaware School. Upon reaching the spot, police noticed the suspect attempting to flee but managed to apprehend him after a brief chase.
The accused has been identified as Rinku Someshwar Titarmare, a resident of Savitribai Phule Nagar in Ajni. During a search conducted in the presence of panch witnesses, a sharp iron knife worth Rs 200 was recovered from his possession.
Police stated that the accused was carrying the weapon with intent to commit a cognizable offence and had violated prohibitory orders. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Maharashtra Police Act. The accused has been arrested, and further investigation is ongoing.
