Nagpur: A case of house burglary has been registered after unidentified thieves decamped with valuables worth ₹1,10,000 from a residence in Maitri Colony, Jaripatka, on Tuesday.
The complainant, Shrirang Bahadur Nandlal Chavan (48), along with his wife and children, had left home for work between 10.30 am and 5 pm. During this period, burglars broke the main door lock and latch, entered the house, and stole approximately ₹15,000 cash, gold ornaments, and a Kirloskar diesel pump from the kitchen’s iron cupboard.
Upon receiving the complaint, PSI Sachin Khutwad registered an offence under Sections 305 and 331(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Jaripatka Police Station. Police are scanning the area and examining clues to identify the culprits. Investigation continues.
