Hookah Parlour Busted at Gen-Zee's Café in Ambazari, Nagpur; Owner Booked

Nagpur: The Ambazari Police raided Gen-Zee's Café on Ambazari Road on Monday night for allegedly operating an illegal hookah parlour for its patrons.


According to police sources, the Ambazari police team received a tip-off about illegal hookah services being provided at the café. Acting swiftly, a team comprising PSI Avinash Nikalje and constables Baljit Thaur, Praveen, Kamlesh, and Subhash conducted a raid at the premises.


During the operation, the police found several youth being served flavoured hookah pots, confirming the illegal activity.


The police have booked the café owner, Nikhil Pradeep Gawande (22), a resident of Ramnagar, Telankhedi, Ambazari, under Section 274 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) along with relevant sections (5, 6, 7, and 20) of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), 2003.


Further investigation in the case is underway.
