Electric Scooter Fraud: 22 Customers Cheated of ₹6.55 Lakh in Nagpur

Nagpur: A fraud case has been registered at the Bajaj Nagar Police Station against two accused for allegedly cheating 22 customers of ₹6.55 lakh in an electric scooter scam.
The accused, Ganesh Bachchumal Panjwani (46) and Anil Rajkumar Walichha (48), operated a shop in Ramdaspeth and offered discounted electric scooters under a student scheme.
The complainant, Bholeshankar Chetandas Kasturi (55), along with others, paid booking amounts between January and March 2025. However, the accused neither delivered the scooters nor returned the money and later fled.
Police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are investigating the matter.
