Nagpur: In a tragic accident, a 75-year-old security guard lost his life after falling from a tree while plucking mangoes in Nagpur.

The deceased, Madhukar Sakharam Neware, was a resident of Seminary Hills area and worked as a security guard. The incident occurred around 9:00 AM on April 22, 2026, near a bus stop close to the TV Tower under the jurisdiction of Gittikhadan Police Station.

According to police officials, Neware had climbed a mango tree to pluck fruits when he lost his balance and fell from a height, suffering serious injuries. He was immediately rushed to Mayo Hospital for treatment.

However, despite medical efforts, doctors declared him dead at around 2:00 PM during treatment.

Following medical intimation, an accidental death report has been registered by Sub-Inspector Gopal Raut at Gittikhadan Police Station. Authorities have initiated further investigation into the incident.
