Crime Branch Unit 6 Seizes MD Worth ₹90,000 in Pachpaoli; Two Arrested

Nagpur: The Crime Branch Unit 6 of Nagpur Police arrested two men allegedly involved in the sale of MD (mephedrone) and seized 18 grams of the contraband during a late-night operation in the Pachpaoli police station area.


The action was carried out between 9.55 pm on September 18 and 2 am on September 19, 2026, near the JCB company, opposite Sher-e-Punjab Lawn at Automotive Square.


According to police, the Crime Branch team was patrolling the area when two men were noticed moving suspiciously. The personnel stopped and searched them, allegedly finding 18 grams of MD powder worth ₹90,000, which they were reportedly carrying for sale to a customer.


The arrested accused have been identified as Manoj Mohanlal Gupta (30), a resident of Shahu Mohalla under Yashodhara Nagar police station, and Richard Pranut Fedrix (24), a resident of the Kapil Nagar police station area.


Police also seized ₹500 cash, an Activa scooter worth ₹80,000, two mobile phones worth ₹52,000 and a Tata Nexon car valued at ₹10 lakh. The total value of the seized property has been estimated at ₹12.23 lakh.


A case has been registered under Sections 8(c), 22(b) and 29 of the NDPS Act. The two accused were handed over to the Pachpaoli police station night-duty officer for further legal action.


Police are also searching for another suspect, identified as Lakku Shahu of Yashodhara Nagar, in connection with the case.
