Nagpur: Under the guidance of the Nagpur City Police Commissionerate, a Complaint Redressal Day was organised at Beltarodi Police Station on Saturday, February 7, 2026, with the aim of ensuring swift and effective action on citizens’ grievances.
The programme was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-IV, Nagpur City, Rashmita Rao, and in the presence of Senior Police Inspector Mukund Kawade, Police Station Officer, Beltarodi. During the redressal day, complaints received from various levels were taken up for hearing. Complainants were called in person and their issues were patiently heard, following which appropriate action was initiated based on the nature of each complaint.
As per official records, a total of 23 complaint applications were received. These included one application forwarded from the Chief Minister’s Office, two from the Guardian Minister’s Office, eleven from the Police Commissioner’s Office, and nine complaints at the local police station level.
After a detailed inquiry into each case, suitable measures such as counselling, amicable settlement and legal action were undertaken wherever necessary. Notably, two serious complaints led to the registration of separate First Information Reports (FIRs).
Police officials stated that the initiative was aimed at promptly addressing public grievances through lawful and effective means, thereby strengthening citizens’ trust in the police administration and ensuring timely resolution of complaints. The Beltarodi Police Station has assured that similar complaint redressal programmes will be conducted regularly in the future to address public concerns efficiently.
