Nagpur: A major burglary took place in the Manakapur area after unidentified thieves targeted two liquor outlets, escaping with cash and alcohol worth ₹2,03,165.

According to the complaint filed by Nikhil Yashwant Wankhede (34), manager of Nupur Wine Shop, the incident occurred between 10:30 PM on February 3 and 4:30 AM on February 4. The thief broke open the shop shutter, entered the premises, and stole ₹1.8 lakh cash, a mobile phone, beer cans and bottles of foreign liquor.

The accused also targeted the adjacent Orange City Beer Shopee, breaking its lock and stealing ₹6,565 from the cash counter.

Manakapur Police have registered a case under Sections 305(A), 331(2), 331(4) of the IPC based on Wankhede’s complaint. Efforts are underway to identify the burglar through CCTV footage and local inquiries.

Authorities have urged nearby shop owners to remain vigilant as the search for the suspect continues.
