Nagpur: A case of house break-in and theft has been reported under Kalmana Police limits, where unidentified burglars looted valuables worth over Rs 2 lakh from a locked residence.
According to police, the incident occurred between April 9 and April 13, 2026, at a house located near Dhruv Enclave, Ganesh Chowk, Netajinagar. The complainant, Lokesh Natthulal Amrute (36), had locked his home and traveled with his family to Raipur, Chhattisgarh, to attend a family function.
During his absence, unknown accused broke the main door lock and latch, entered the house, and forced open wooden cupboards in both bedrooms. Gold and silver ornaments collectively valued at Rs 2,05,000 were stolen.
Based on the complaint, Kalmana Police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against unknown persons. A search operation has been launched, and further investigation is in progress.
