Burglars Target Locked House in Nagpur’s Ayodhya Nagar, Cash and Jewellery Stolen

Nagpur: A burglary was reported in the Hudkeshwar police station area of Nagpur, where unidentified thieves broke into a locked house and stole cash, jewellery and other valuables worth over ₹2.15 lakh.


According to police, the incident occurred between 6 pm on March 6 and 7 am on March 7 at a residence located at Plot No. 24, Lane No. 4, New Subhedar Road, Ayodhya Nagar. The complainant, Sameer Dattatraya Pande (50), had locked his house and travelled with his family to Shegaon for religious darshan.


Taking advantage of the locked house, unidentified burglars allegedly broke the main door lock and latch to gain entry into the house. The thieves then entered the bedroom and stole ₹32,000 in cash, gold and silver jewellery, and two wristwatches from an almirah.


The total value of the stolen property is estimated at ₹2,15,050.


Based on the complaint, Hudkeshwar Police have registered a case against unknown accused under Sections 305(A) and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The case has been registered by PSI Ashwin Khedikar, and police have launched a search to trace the accused.


Further investigation is underway.
