Nagpur: Burglars broke into a locked house in Pardi area and decamped with cash, gold and silver ornaments, and a two-wheeler, while the family was away for religious rituals.

The burglary occurred between January 16 evening and January 21 morning at Plot No. 25, Karnika Society, near Punapur Dahan Ghat, under Pardi police station limits. Complainant Shubham Srinivas Tiwari (25) had locked his house and travelled with his family to Prayagraj for his father’s pind daan ceremony.

The total value of stolen property is estimated at ₹3.46 lakh.

Based on the complaint, Pardi police have registered a case under Sections 305(a), 331(3), and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against unknown accused. Further investigation is underway.
