Nagpur: A burglary case has been registered at Tahsil Police Station after unidentified thieves allegedly broke into a locked residence and escaped with gold and silver jewellery worth ₹1.12 lakh.
According to police, the incident occurred between 1:00 pm on June 19 and 1:30 am on June 21, 2026, in Boriyapura near Nadeem Cloth Stores, Tahsil, Nagpur.
The complainant, Sheikh Rashid Sheikh Aziz (38), had locked his residence and travelled out of town for work purposes.
During his absence, unidentified burglars allegedly broke the lock of the main entrance on the first floor, entered the house, and stole various gold and silver ornaments kept inside a cupboard.
The total value of stolen property has been estimated at ₹1,12,000.
Following the complaint, Sanjay Mane registered a case at Tahsil Police Station against unknown accused under Sections 305(a), 331(3), and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Police have launched a search for the accused and further investigation is in progress.
