4,683 Code of Conduct Complaints Resolved; Property Worth Rs 493.46 Crore Seized in Maharashtra, including 37.16 Crore in Nagpur

Mumbai: Between October 15 and November 11, 2024, a total of 4,711 complaints were lodged across Maharashtra through the C-Vigil app concerning alleged violations of the Model Code of Conduct ahead of the 2024 State Assembly elections. Of these, 4,683 complaints have been resolved by the Election Commission, according to the Chief Electoral Officer’s office.


The C-Vigil app, available for download from any app store, allows citizens to report violations of the Model Code of Conduct. Once a complaint is filed, a designated team investigates and takes appropriate action as required.


Property Worth Rs 493.46 Crore Seized


Enforcement teams from state and central government agencies have seized property valued at Rs 493.46 crore, which includes illegal cash, liquor, drugs, and precious metals, since October 15. These actions highlight the state’s strict enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct in the lead-up to the election. It includes property worth 37.16 crore in Nagpur.
