26-Year-Old Man Arrested for Harassing Minor Girl in Nagpur’s Khaparkheda

Nagpur: Khaparkheda Police have arrested a 26-year-old man for allegedly stalking and harassing a 13-year-old minor girl in the area, raising serious concerns about child safety.


According to police, the accused, identified as Rakesh Raju Hajare, had been following the minor for several days, making obscene gestures and pressuring her to share her mobile number. On March 16, 2026, between 10:00 am and 10:20 am, the accused approached the victim at her residence and again demanded her contact details.


When the minor refused, the accused allegedly abused her verbally and issued death threats. Based on the complaint, Khaparkheda Police registered a case under sections 78, 351(2), and 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Section 12 of the POCSO Act.


Taking swift action, police led by PI Harish Rumkar tracked down and arrested the accused. Further investigation in the case is underway.
