23-Year-Old Biker Dies After Bolero Pickup Hits Motorcycle Near Wanadongri Dental College

Nagpur: A 23-year-old motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries after a Bolero pickup allegedly rammed into his bike near Wanadongri in the MIDC area of Nagpur.


The deceased has been identified as Shailesh Daliram Bhure (23), a resident of Plot No. 16, Ekatmata Nagar, MIDC, Nagpur.


According to police, the accident took place at around 10 am on July 1 on Sangam Road, in front of the Dental College Gate at Wanadongri, under the jurisdiction of MIDC Police Station.


Shailesh was travelling on his Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle (MH-49-A-4608) when the driver of a Bolero Pickup (MH-40-Y-0269) allegedly drove the vehicle at high speed in a rash and negligent manner and crashed into his motorcycle.


The impact left Shailesh critically injured. He was immediately shifted to Lata Mangeshkar Hospitalfor treatment. However, despite medical efforts, doctors declared him dead at 6.45 am on July 3.


Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s uncle, Pappu Diwanji Bhure (42), a resident of Plot No. 16, Shrikrishna Nagar, MIDC, Nagpur, MIDC Police registered a case against the Bolero driver under Sections 106(1) and 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 177 and 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act.


The investigation into the fatal accident is currently underway.
